I'm Evan and I am a 3rd year Doctorate of physical therapy student at Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon. I grew up in the small town of Kailua on the island of Oahu in Hawaii and graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor's of science in kinesiology and rehabilitation sciences in 2012. I worked as a personal trainer at 24 hour fitness for two years between 2012 and 2014 and serviced over 1100 one on one sessions. I am an avid surfer, skateboarder, snowboarder, rock climber, and enjoy many other sports. I found my passion in Physical therapy while receiving PT for my own injuries over the years, and also while trying to figure out how to work with client injuries as a personal trainer. Every person has an injury at some point in their life, and physical therapy can speed the healing process greatly. In cases of chronic (long lasting) injuries, physical therapy can break bad habits that have caused the pain to not go away. PT is a problem solving process to figure out every person's differences in movement, as every individual has a unique body structure. I love the problem solving process and hope that my tips in WOD coach can help your individual needs.
